Apprenticeships

APPRENTICESHIP COURSES

Apprenticeships are a core delivery element to our training suite. These courses programmes enable individuals to achieve qualifications whilst they earn, providing them with the hands on experience needed to gain the valuable knowledge, skills and behaviours that will benefit both them and the organisation. We offer two apprenticeships; Associate Project Manager Level 4 and Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability Practitioner Level 4.

This is a 16-month delivery programme, assessed in two parts: firstly, a professional discussion based on a portfolio of evidence, and secondly with a presentation and Q&A based on a project that you have worked on. To complement this apprenticeship, PLP will support learners with the option of undertaking the PFQ or the PMQ qualification.

Having been awarded his Majesty’s King Charles Coronation Gold Emblem for Green Apprenticeships, this standard has been approved to help to build a workforce that is equipped with the skills needed for a green future.
This programme runs over a 24-month period involving the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to drive change in CR&S strategies.

Associate Project Manager

We are proud to have worked with over 80 leaners on this apprenticeship Standard. Our main employers are local government although more recently we have worked with house builders, reserach facilities and education. The learners are introduced to project management theory, tools and techniques, and given the time to apply these to their workplace. Supported by PLP and their mentor, the learners created evidence documents that will be assessed independantly to complete the apprenticeship.

PLP bring varied experience in industry and education to make this apprenticeship engaging, lively and fun! You will have the opportunity to speak to past learners, current project managers and network at a regional level with other project managers. You will be encouraged to be a student member of the Assocation for Project Management, and supported to a professional qualification at the end of the apprenticeship.

Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability Practitioner

The apprenticeship links with our own company values and we are keen to enrol our first cohort on it. There is a good crossover to the Associate Project Manager apprenticeship – so in the first half of the programme, you will working together, before focussing more on sustainability principles, metrics and social value.
