TRAINING SERVICES

We offer bespoke training packages, ranging from project management software training and APM accredited training courses to apprenticeships, developing your team’s skills to deliver successful projects.

Apprenticeships are a core delivery element to our training suite. Apprenticeships enable individuals to achieve qualifications whilst they earn, providing them with the hands on experience needed to gain the valuable knowledge, skills and behaviours that will benefit both them and the organisation. We offer two apprenticeships; Associate Project Manager Level 4 and Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability Practitioner Level 4.

We are proud to be an accredited project management training provider of the Association for Project Management (APM). We deliver online, classroom-based training towards the APM Project Fundamentals Qualification (PFQ), APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ) and APM Project Risk Management Single Subject Certification Level 1 and 2. These courses can be offered to both individuals and organisations looking to develop their project management skillsets and can be provided full-time or part-time, depending on your requirements.

Our full training course Terms and Conditions can be found here.

Our courses can be run with face-to-face taught sessions.

If you are further afield, we have adapted the provision of our PFQ, PMQ and Risk Management Level 1 and 2 training courses to deliver them via our live, virtual classroom on Microsoft Teams.

Yes. We have designed and delivered courses ranging from simple introductions to project management, to more sophisticated training around the implementation of enterprise planning solutions. These courses can be run at locations and times to suit the needs of the business. Additionally, we provide private PFQ, PMQ and Risk Management Level 1 and Level 2 courses to companies with a cohort of 8 or more employees.

For the past three years, our pass rate in the PFQ is 94% and in the PMQ is 73%. This is 12% above the national average.

One of the strengths of PL Projects is that we care about our delegates! If you are unfortunate enough to fail one of our courses, you will be able to undertake a resit examination at a reduced extra cost. You will also be invited to attend a repeat course (either the full course or just the parts you found difficult) in the future at no additional charge, with one to one support where we feel you would particularly benefit. You might have to buy the coffee and biscuits though!

If you wish to undertake the PFQ, the answer is no. The course is designed for individuals looking to gain an insight into the project management profession. However, if you are considering the PMQ, then some prior knowledge and experience of working in a project environment is preferred, and it is the ideal next step for the PFQ!

For the Risk Management Level 1 and 2 you need to be employed in a project role, as this is an advanced certification.

For both the PFQ and PMQ, pre-reading material will be delivered to you in advance of the course start date. This is to help you establish a framework of key concepts on which to develop your learning. Neither of these pre-readings will take up hours of your time, but it is important to note that the PMQ materials are more substantial so will be delivered to you earlier.

The Association for Project Management (APM) is the chartered professional body for the discipline of project management within the UK. As part of its remit, it establishes standards and codes of practice for what the aspiring project professional needs to know. It sets the syllabus and examinations for the PFQ, PMQ and Risk Management Level 1 and Level 2 and assesses project management training providers like PL Projects to see that its course material and trainers meet the relevant standard.
