Since the accreditation of our training provision by the APM in 2015, we have successfully delivered many courses with a pass rate of 94% for the PFQ and 73% for the PMQ, 12% above the national average.

Our experienced training team have strong backgrounds in academia, having previously being course leaders for Project Management at Leeds Beckett University and extensive project management experience to draw on. This experience will bring the learning material to life.

We offer a unique and flexible approach to learning, running courses on a part-time or full-time basis, online or face-to-face, to meet your precise requirements.

Both courses (particularly the PMQ) can be challenging but our delegates often take the qualifications alongside their day jobs! We will happily take time to support our delegates outside of the course hours if they need that little bit of additional assistance.

Our training staff recognise the importance of the application of the knowledge gained on the course and have supported organisations post-course with reflective review workshops. These seek to identify topics or areas where the organisation might benefit by embracing some of the new learning.

I really enjoyed the course and your company. The delivery was brilliant and I just wish that all courses and training opportunities could be more like this! It has really inspired me to take the next move in my career.

A huge thank you to PL Projects as a whole, but just wanted to say a specific thank you to Mark, as our main facilitator. I found the sessions massively helpful, very friendly and approachable, which helped me to feel confident and comfortable to ask questions on topics I was unsure of. Every session was engaging and interesting, and the trainer’s knowledge of PM is incredible, I’ve definitely taken a lot away from them, and hope I can be that knowledgeable as my career progresses!
More than anything, Mark genuinely seems passionate and interested in helping ‘my generation’ to develop into successful, confident PM’s, which is really inspiring.

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE COSTS?

The cost of our qualifications include training materials, trainers’ day rates, APM exam fees and other admin costs, e.g. postage.

HOW DO I PAY FOR THE COURSES?

Book now by contacting our Training Team at training@plprojects.co.uk. They will send you a payment form requesting your personal details for payment and then our finance manager will send you an invoice with instructions on how to pay.

We would be happy to discuss payment installment plans, if needed.

WHAT TYPE OF TRAINING DO YOU DO?

Our courses can be run with face-to-face taught sessions.

If you are further afield, we have adapted the provision of our PFQ, PMQ and Risk Management Level 1 and 2 training courses to deliver them via our live, virtual classroom on Microsoft Teams.

DO YOU OFFER BESPOKE TRAINING?

Yes. We have designed and delivered courses ranging from simple introductions to project management, to more sophisticated training around the implementation of enterprise planning solutions. These courses can be run at locations and times to suit the needs of the business. Additionally, we provide private PFQ, PMQ and Risk Management Level 1 and Level 2 courses to companies with a cohort of 8 or more employees.

WHAT ARE YOUR PASS RATES?

For the past three years, our pass rate in the PFQ is 94% and in the PMQ is 73%. This is 12% above the national average.

WHAT IF I FAIL?

One of the strengths of PL Projects is that we care about our delegates! If you are unfortunate enough to fail one of our courses, you will be able to undertake a resit examination at a reduced extra cost. You will also be invited to attend a repeat course (either the full course or just the parts you found difficult) in the future at no additional charge, with one to one support where we feel you would particularly benefit. You might have to buy the coffee and biscuits though!

DO I NEED PM EXPERIENCE TO UNDERTAKE THE COURSES?

If you wish to undertake the PFQ, the answer is no. The course is designed for individuals looking to gain an insight into the project management profession. However, if you are considering the PMQ, then some prior knowledge and experience of working in a project environment is preferred, and it is the ideal next step for the PFQ!

For the Risk Management Level 1 and 2 you need to be employed in a project role, as this is an advanced certification.

DO I NEED TO DO ANY WORK IN ADVANCE OF THE COURSE?

For both the PFQ and PMQ, pre-reading material will be delivered to you in advance of the course start date. This is to help you establish a framework of key concepts on which to develop your learning. Neither of these pre-readings will take up hours of your time, but it is important to note that the PMQ materials are more substantial so will be delivered to you earlier.

WHAT DOES APM ACCREDITED MEAN?

The Association for Project Management (APM) is the chartered professional body for the discipline of project management within the UK. As part of its remit, it establishes standards and codes of practice for what the aspiring project professional needs to know. It sets the syllabus and examinations for the PFQ, PMQ and Risk Management Level 1 and Level 2 and assesses project management training providers like PL Projects to see that its course material and trainers meet the relevant standard.
