FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Accredited qualification courses include the training materials, the cost of delivery and the cost of the APM exam fees. For bespoke courses for CPD or software training, this will generally include training materials and delivery. If you are considering an apprenticeship, please refer to ‘how does an apprenticeship work?’

Book now by contacting our Training Team at [email protected]. They will send you a payment form requesting your personal details for payment and then our finance manager will send you an invoice with instructions on how to pay.

We would be happy to discuss payment installment plans, if needed.

We are able to run any of our training face to face, hybrid or in a virtual classroom. Software training works better face to face as we are able to provide technical support whilst you are using the software. All of our open, APM professional courses are virtual.

However, any request from a client with a cohort size 8+, we can offer the best training method to suit them.

One of the strengths of PL Projects is that we care about our delegates! If you are unfortunate enough to fail one of our courses, you will be able to undertake a resit examination at a reduced extra cost. You will also be invited to attend a repeat course (either the full course or just the parts you found difficult) in the future at no additional charge, with one to one support where we feel you would particularly benefit. You might have to buy the coffee and biscuits though!

If you wish to undertake the PFQ, the answer is no. The course is designed for individuals looking to gain an insight into the project management profession. However, if you are considering the PMQ, then some prior knowledge and experience of working in a project environment is preferred, and it is the ideal next step for the PFQ!

For the Risk Management Level 1 and 2 you need to be employed in a project role, as this is an advanced certification.

The apprenticeship is a great way to get started in your project management career, as this will incorporate elements of all the professional courses, and you will even have the option of sitting one of these assessments after your End Point Assessment.

For both the PFQ and PMQ, pre-reading material will be delivered to you in advance of the course start date. This is to help you establish a framework of key concepts on which to develop your learning. Neither of these pre-readings will take up hours of your time, but it is important to note that the PMQ materials are more substantial so will be delivered to you earlier.

The Association for Project Management (APM) is the chartered professional body for the discipline of project management within the UK. As part of its remit, it establishes standards and codes of practice for what the aspiring project professional needs to know. It sets the syllabus and examinations for the PFQ, PMQ and Risk Management Level 1 and Level 2 and assesses project management training providers like PL Projects to see that its course material and trainers meet the relevant standard.
