We offer bespoke training packages, ranging from project management software training to APM accredited training courses, developing your team’s skills to deliver successful projects.

We are proud to be an accredited project management training provider of the Association for Project Management (APM). We have recently adapted our training arm to deliver online, classroom-based training towards the Project Fundamentals Qualification (PFQ) and Project Management Qualification (PMQ). These courses can be offered to both individuals and organisations looking to develop their project management skillsets and can be provided full-time or part-time, depending on your requirements. We can also deliver the Level 4 Associate Project Manager Apprenticeship with organisations that pay into the Apprenticeship Levy as an alternative approach for aspiring project management professionals.

The PFQ is an introductory project management qualification for individuals looking to gain an insight into the profession.

The PMQ is a more advanced project management qualification for individuals with some previous experience in the profession.

This programme runs over an 18-month period and involves completing the PMQ and End Point Assessment.

Since the accreditation of our training provision by the APM in 2015, we have successfully delivered many courses with a pass rate of 100% for the PFQ and 93% for the PMQ, 18% above the national average.

Our experienced training team have strong backgrounds in academia, having previously headed up the Centre for Project Management at Leeds Beckett University.

We offer a unique and flexible approach to learning, running courses on a part-time or full-time basis, online or face-to-face (in due course), to meet your precise requirements.

Both courses (particularly the PMQ) can be challenging but our delegates often take the qualifications alongside their day jobs! We will happily take time to support our delegates outside of the course hours if they need that little bit of additional assistance.

Our training staff recognise the importance of the application of the knowledge gained on the course and have supported organisations post-course with reflective review workshops. These seek to identify topics or areas where the organisation might benefit by embracing some of the new learning.

The Project Fundamentals Qualification (PFQ) costs £495 + VAT and the Project Management Qualification (PMQ) costs £1195 + VAT. To reserve a spot on one of our courses, we require a deposit of £50 + VAT for the PFQ and £75 + VAT for the PMQ which contributes to the overall course price. These deposits are non-refundable if you decide not to join the course. Final payment for our courses is required before the course start date to enable us time to pay the APM exam fees.

We offer various payment options for our training courses including instalment plans and one time payments. Book now on our website, or alternatively get in touch with our Business Development Manager at for more information.

Yes! We have recently adapted the provision of our PFQ and PMQ training courses to deliver them via our live, virtual classroom.

Yes. We have designed and delivered courses ranging from simple introductions to project management, to more sophisticated training around the implementation of enterprise planning solutions. These courses can be run at locations and times to suit the needs of the business.

For the past three years, our pass rate in the PFQ has been 100%. In the same period, the pass rate for the Project Management Qualification is approaching 93% which is nearly 18% above the national average.

One of the strengths of PL Projects is that we care about our delegates! If you are unfortunate enough to fail one of our courses, you will be able to undertake a resit examination free of charge. You will also be invited to attend a repeat course (either the full course or just the parts you found difficult) in the future at no additional charge, with one to one support where we feel you would particularly benefit. You might have to buy the coffee and biscuits though!

If you wish to undertake the PFQ, the answer is no. The course is designed for individuals looking to gain an insight into the project management profession. However, if you are considering the PMQ, then some prior knowledge and experience of working in a project environment is preferred, and it is the ideal next step for the PFQ!

For both the PFQ and PMQ, pre-reading material will be delivered to you in advance of the course start date. This is to help you establish a framework of key concepts on which to develop your learning. Neither of these pre-readings will take up hours of your time, but it is important to note that the PMQ materials are more substantial so will be delivered to you earlier.

The Association for Project Management (APM) is the chartered professional body for the discipline of project management within the UK. As part of its remit, it establishes standards and codes of practice for what the aspiring project professional needs to know. It sets the syllabus and examinations for the PFQ and PMQ and assesses project management training providers like PL Projects to see that its course material and trainers meet the relevant standard.
