The idea of PL Projects was created previous to 2002, but officially became the name of the company when Rob Watson told the accountant to name the business after a street he was standing on, Potato Lane.
This was the time when Rob, Mike and Andy came together to develop a business, the focus was on providing outstanding PMO support to clients across different industries, with an emphasis on staff development.
Hired our first employee, Luke Mason, who is now a part of the Senior Management Team.
Accreditation of our training provision by the Association for Project Management (APM).
Established our London team.
Opened our office at Elsie Whiteley Innovation Centre in Halifax, West Yorkshire.
Crowned employer of the year at the Halifax Courier Business Awards.
Launched our internal team championships.
Winner in the Education and Training category at the Research, Innovation, Sustainability and Enterprise (RISE) awards.
Shortlisted in two categories; Sustainable Business of the Year and Employer of the Year, at the Calderdale Excellence in Business awards.
Launched our Cycle to Work scheme.
Started volunteer work at the local community garden, The Outback.
