HOW IS PL PROJECTS STRIVING TO BE A SUSTAINABLE BUSINESS?

Since we have released the exciting news about the sustainability work group forming at PLP. We wanted to give you an update on PLP’s progression for striving towards a sustainable business.

Let’s recap: We believe our values are rooted in our passion for sustainability. Our business believes that “sustainability means considering all three pillars of sustainability, i.e. the economic, social and environmental facets of changes we make. We believe in informing, engaging with and influencing internal and external stakeholders towards making project-based activities, more sustainable and considerate of future generations.”

So, what are we doing to strive to become a sustainable business within these three pillars of the triangle?

ECONOMIC

We are working with suppliers who are:
- based in West Yorkshire,
- pay employees a good living wage and
- share similar business beliefs to us.

SOCIAL

Continuing to encourage employees to form different workgroups to bring about change at PLP like:
- Sustainability work group
- Mental health champions
- Lessons learnt group
- Risk management joint venture
Continuing to support our neighbours, like the Outback

ENVIRONMENTAL

Reduce employees’ C02 emissions through public transportation, working from home and the cycle to work scheme.
