Case Studies, Achievements and Portfolio of Work

We work with a broad range of organisations and companies. Where possible we try and publish case studies and key information from projects we have completed to give prospective customers and partners a clear idea of our portfolio. If you have any questions about any of these projects or case studies please contact us and we would be happy to discuss how it might relate to a project you are working on.

I found the APM PMQ very informative and insightful. Mike and Paul were excellent in delivering the course and kept everyone chirpy on the dark winter evenings with plenty of tea, biscuits and banter. I found the course material worked well as a refresher or in addition to previous studies. I would highly recommend to those wanting to learn project management or people who are already working in the industry.

Employer of the Year 2017!

We were delighted to be crowned Employer of the Year at the 2017 Halifax Courier Business Awards.

The night itself was a fantastic event hosted in Barkisland, not far from the town centre. For us it capped another year of expansion and continual growth.

We’re already looking forward to next year’s event (fingers crossed!)

Case Studies and Portfolio of our PMO Team in Action

Alexander Dennis PMO Support and Training

Alexander Dennis is one of the most famous coach and bus builders in the world. With a range of facilities around the UK, Alexander Dennis contacted us as they were wanting to improve efficiency and implement a range of upgrades at their factories.

PLP provided in company project management and software training and a range of additional PMO support to assist ADL.

Leeds City Council - Bespoke Project Management Training Package to Fit with Employee Working Week

As you can imagine, Leeds City Council undertake a huge range of projects – from simple projects involving chopping trees down or clearing an area of waste ground for community use to major infrastructure projects. That’s why Leeds City Council require all key staff to undergo project management training in order to be able to deliver the best possible value and performance for the local rate payers.

PL Projects worked with the council and their employees to put together an ongoing training package for council workers on a part time evening basis in order to fit in with their busy working week. Council staff regularly attend these sessions and we have now trained tens if not hundreds in the APM Accredited Project Fundamentals Qualification and Project Management Qualification.

Network Rail - PMO Support including Project Planning and Management for the HS2 Link

The HS2 rail project is almost certainly one of the biggest infrastructure projects that have taken place in the UK in recent memory. As such there are a huge range of challenges and issues involved with putting the project together and making it a success.

Pl Projects worked alongside a number of companies on this project proving key support and planning during the HS2 link stage of the project.

RSPB - PMO Support during expansion of facility at Barsnley

Working with charities such as the RSPB presents a number of important challenges. With limited resources it can be difficult to achieve what’s required in the space of time available. That;s where project management support can come into its own, ensuring budgets are properly worked out, works progress as specified and everything is kept under good governance. We thoroughly enjoyed the challenges of working with the RSPB on their Barnsley site.

Such was the success of our work at Barnsley RSPB that we’re still in touch! We use the RSPB facilities their as a base for our  APM Accredited Project Fundamentals Qualification and Project Management Qualification training.
