Are you a new to using social media? Do you need some tips to tackling the challenges of advertising your products or services on different social media platforms? The PLP Marketing Team has devised a short list of 5 tips for new social media users to help you get started.

5 TIPS FOR NEW SOCIAL MEDIA USERS
  • You need to understand who your target market is.
    • Knowing your target market is extremely important.
    • This helps you create and shape your social media posts that your target audience will want to read.
  • Once you post, don’t forget to engage!
    • This is easy to forget, but remember to comment on questions your audience post underneath your social media platforms.
    • Give a “like” to comments you support to show you are engaging with your audience.
  • Consistency is king.
    • Post as often as your can, with consistent designs, colours, fonts and call-to-actions (CTAs).
  • Add more videos to your social media strategy.
    • Video is a great way to engage with your target audience and it is great to use alongside pictures.
  • Always ask yourself “will my audience find this valuable?”
    • This is a very important question to ask yourself whenever you post on social media.
    • If your content is not valuable to your target audience could disengage with you.
