Should I do the PFQ or PMQ qualifications?

Deciding whether to do the Project Fundamentals Qualification (PFQ – previously the Introductory Certificate) or the Project Management Qualification (PMQ – previous the APMP) depends on what you want from the qualification, how much time you can spare and how much knowledge and experience you already have.

The PFQ is the perfect introduction to project management and it gets you a recognised and respected qualification at the end of your hard work. We typically recommend this for those of you who have very little experience and need a good grounding in the principles and key concepts of project management (why not read our 5 Reasons to do the PFQ for more info!)

The course can be completed in a couple of days and we will work hard to ensure that you get the support you need to get through the exam. We frequently run these courses with a 100% pass rate because we work hard to ensure that everyone involved gets the support they need!

The PMQ is a 5 day course full time so requires more time to get it done and is typically aimed at those of you who have more experience and knowledge of the core concepts of project management. Many of our PMQ students have previously taken the PFQ course.

The PMQ courses go into significantly more depth than the PFQ and as mentioned above they do presuppose a pre-existing level of knowledge.
