Rob is an experienced project management professional with extensive knowledge of project management principles and techniques, all of which have been employed in a wide range of diverse professional settings.
Having had significant planning responsibility on a number of major projects and in several Project Management Offices, he has developed a confident, clear thinking and structured approach to identifying and solving complex problems.
Rob’s main areas of expertise – whether leading, working within a team or individually – is in the provision of pragmatic, workable solutions that enable successful project delivery.
Rob is currently providing support to Serco delivering their Cyber Security Programme of work and has previously worked on several large IT programmes in health, retail and power generation.
Rob’s experience is not restricted to IT, having worked in a number of industries over the past 15 years including transport (rail, tube, air & bicycle), nuclear, telecoms and construction.
Rob was my Head of Portfolio Planning at Serco CIO, where he defined and established the planning capability within the CIO Portfolio Management Team.
He has vast experience of planning complex projects and programmes yet manages to work successfully with different levels of PPM capability, acting as a combination of subject expert and coach at the same time.
